Our Drug-Eluting Technology (Transfertech) has been designed to guarantee the durability of the coating in the first navigation stage until reaching the injury.
The balloon surface is covered with multiple and independent nano drops layers, providing a flexible coating that adapts to the balloon movement and ensures the release of the drug in the target lesion, without particle loss in the blood flow.
This ultrafine and multilayer coating helps to:
- Increase the adhesion of the balloon and reduce the losses due to manipulation.
- Increase durability and reduce losses during navigation.
- Improve the mechanical properties.
We work with ultraprecision equipment, which allows us to distribute the drug in a uniform and homogenous way, obtaining the same dosage along all the lengths and the reproducibility of the charge.
Transfertech technology gives control over the morphology of the drug. Its microcrystalline structure allows an excellent transfer of the drug to the arterial wall, with a quick absorption (less than 30 seconds). The excipient controls the integrity of the coating and the loss of the drug during transit. It is possible to modify the characteristics of the coating until we reach a “gel” stage, which facilitates the absorption in the tissues.
