Our Drug Eluting technology has been designed to guarantee the durability of the coating in the first navigation stage, until reaching the injury. Followed by a quick release of the drug on the arterial wall. The success of this balance is achieved by means of proprietary technology, consisting on the dosification of mono-diameter nano-drops by means a direct deposition by ultrasounds. The result is an ultrafine and multilayer coating with allows:
- Increase the adhesion of the balloon, reducing the losses due to manipulation.
- Increases the durability, reducing loses during navigation.
- Improves the mechanical properties.
We work with ultraprecision equipment, which allows us to distribute the drug in a uniform and homogenous way, obtaining the same dosage along all the lenght and a reproducibility of the charge.
The Transfertech technology gives a control over the morphology of the drug. Its microcrystalline structure allows an excellent transfer of the drug to the arterial Wall, with a quick absorption ≥ 30 s. The excipient controls the integrity of the coating and the loss of drug during the transit. It is possible to modify the characteristics of the coating until we reach a “gel” stage, which facilitates the absorption in the tissues.
The preclinical studies show a higher safety and efficiency versus the controls, and up to 23% higher than other commercial DEBs.
