Single – lumen
Tubes with a single lumen are normally used for the interior transport of fluids or medical devices. The most common applications in the medical field are the shaft of catheters, guidewire lumen and transitions, for the coronary, peripheral and neurovascular fields.
Multi – lumen
Tubes with multi orifices are normally used for the interior transport of fluids or medical devices. The most common applications in the medical field are the shaft of catheters, a guidewire lumen and transitions, for the coronary, peripheral and neurovascular fields.
Multi-layer / Co-extrusion
Coextruded tube consisting of two or three layers of different materials. Due to the wide range of possible combinations, this product is a reference for customized solutions. Our customers can select the thickness of each layer (intermittent extrusion), so variations on hardness, flexibility, and radiopacity can be obtained. The most common applications in the medical field are shaft catheters with inflation channel integrated, steerable catheters, and electronic sensors channels for the coronary, peripheral and neurovascular fields.
Intermittent extrusion
Tube produced by a manufacturing process enabling a variation on the percentage of materials in each layer. This results in a product with variable hardness, flexibility, and radio-opacity. The most common applications in the medical field are reinforced catheters, guiding catheters, micro-catheters, thrombus extraction catheters, and support catheters, for coronary, peripheral, and neurovascular fields.
Balloon tubing and Balloons
Balloon tubing
Specific tube for the production of balloon catheters.
It can be a single layer or a multi-layer tube, depending on the customer requirements and specifications. The most common applications in the medical field are balloon catheters for the coronary, peripheral and neurovascular areas.
Balloon
A semi-elaborated balloon is manufactured from a balloon tube. We are capable to produce a wide range of sizes (diameters and lengths) according to strict quality requirements.
Bump tubing
A conical tube whose diameter varies along the length of the tube. The most common application in the medical field is the shaft of the catheter, which requires different flexibility along the length of the tube. It is used in the coronary, peripheral, and neurovascular areas.
Braided / Coiled tubing
A polymeric tube that incorporates a spiral or braided mesh of different materials. This feature reinforces the wall of the polymeric tube enabling higher internal pressures or higher traction/compression forces to be applied onto it. The most common applications in the medical field are reinforced shafts, diagnostic catheters, micro-catheters, thrombus extraction catheters, and support catheters, in the coronary, peripheral, and neurovascular areas.
Extrusion of polymeric tubes for the industries focused on the production of medical devices.
High precision extrusion with a wide range of materials (such as Nylon-12, Pebax® or polyethylene) in an ISO-7 clean room.
Custom compounding to optimize the physical properties of the tubing. Our method guarantees the possibility to work with tubes under catalog specification or to work with the technical specification required by the customer. To comply with the required quality standards, our plant of medical production is certified according to ISO 13485, reinforcing our target to keep a Quality System at the highest level.
Our production plant is equipped with the most modern and efficient technology of raw material reception and expedition, with a quality control system integrated into the production line with equipment of control, inspection, and characterization of the product.
